Server-side technology
All our web site are built using Server-side includes (SSI) which mean that the whole site can be changed by updating the 'template' file. A site can also have a number of template files which can be interchanged as required. Using this system means that if you wanted to add a link in the header, it only has to be done once, instead of on every page of the site.
Accessibility
Web sites must be accessible to many different computers with different software. Techniques are employed to make sure that all users can use your site easily independant of their browser/computer.
CSS
Style sheets are used to provide a consitant and easily updateable look and feel. This works in conjunction with the SSI to provide an easy way to update the whole site in one go.
